Brett has been a “fixture” at K&J Woodworks having started with the company right out of high school over twenty years ago when K&J had only four employees. Brett began this journey when he was hired on for a weekend project with no guarantee of future work. When Brett started they said he didn’t know sheet-rock from plywood. Through perseverance, dedication to learning and the mentoring from the leadership at K&J, Brett grew professionally as K&J grew as a company. This gives him the advantage of knowing exactly what it takes to process a project start to finish. Today, Brett is the owner of K&J and there are now over seventy-five employees. K&J has been more than just a teaching ground for Brett, but also an extended family and Brett appreciates those that are as dedicated as he is to seeing K&J succeed. Even with the demands of his career, Brett makes time for his family every day. Attending his children’s sporting events, spending time at the family ranch, hunting, and trying to never miss a University of Texas football game. Hook’em Horns!
